I wanted to talk a little bit today about what I have found to work very well for organizing my younger children’s daily homeschool materials.
When my kids have been between preschool and about 3rd grade, I have set up a bin or folder (depending on how many materials are needed) for each day of the week that holds everything that child will need to do his homeschool work for the day.
Pages are torn out of workbooks and put into a folder labeled with the day of the week. If additional materials (such as art supplies, manipulatives, etc.) are needed, they are placed in a bin (also labeled with the day of the week) with the folder.
This has worked well for our family because over the weekend, I am able to gather all needed supplies for the entire week rather than having to gather them each day.
My older children are generally able to gather their own materials each day.
I would love to hear from you about how you organize your kids’ homeschool supplies and materials.
